Ever wonder what nursing programs do with the assessment data they gather? Come to this presentation to learn about the AACN/EBI Doctor of Nursing Practice suite of assessments and how Duquesne University utilizes their results to better understand their DNP students’ experiences and self-reported learning.
Bonnie S. Dean, PhD, RN joined the School of Nursing at Duquesne University as an Assistant Professor in August, 2008. Her research interests include healthcare quality and patient safety initiatives as well as inter-professional simulation and leadership development. Dr. Dean received a diploma in professional nursing from the Western Pennsylvania Hospital School of Nursing, a BSN from Carlow University, MS in Pharmacology and Toxicology from Duquesne University’s Graduate School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, and PhD from Duquesne University, School of Nursing.
Joan Such Lockhart
Joan Such Lockhart, PhD, RN, CORLN, AOCN, CNE, ANEF, FAAN is Professor and Associate Dean for Academic Affairs at Duquesne University School of Nursing and teaches in its online doctoral programs. She earned her PhD in nursing at the University of Pittsburgh and is an experienced administrator, educator, and researcher. A former co-chair of Duquesne’s assessment committee, she chairs the school’s evaluation committee efforts.
Darlena Jones, PhD is the Director of Education and Program Development for EBI MAP-Works, LLC. Jones received her Ph.D. in Physics at Oklahoma State University and has served as a faculty member earning several research and teaching awards. Since joining EBI MAP-Works, Jones has delivered more than 200 webinars and presentations/workshops at international conferences focused on assessment strategies, program improvement, student success, and retention.
